Love Seeps In

There are spaces and cracks in our lives

where love leaks in.

I saw a stone split wide open

in the freezing and thawing places

of a Minnesota winter-spring.

I only saw one

but it was enough to tell me

how persistently powerful

is this moistening!

Soft, gentle, water-life

ripping open rock-

simply by just being there,

In the crevices of life . . .

Penetrating and seeping in,

unobtrusively,

serendipitously,

as the world turns.

And I eat my rhubarb sauce with cream,

now breaking into smiles,

as the tulips are also blossoming red!

About rjspoems

Exploring being through writing. There is an African proverb that sums up why I write: If you want to go fast, walk alone- If you want to go far, walk together. Come, let us journey together!
